Multi Residential
Woolloongabba Collective
Brisbane, Queensland
Project Overview
Gabba Collective seeks to activate its precinct. Through built form, this apartment building engages with all neighbouring buildings and invites all within its grounds. This is achieved through its openings, ground floor lightness, and widening the corner of what will soon be a pedestrian hotspot.
Gabba Collective accommodates residents of all backgrounds, ages and circumstances, creating an environment for all to dwell comfortably, and give back to community in one way or another.
With a community library on the ground floor open for street usage, this building serves as a realm for education, socialisation and working. It also boasts more intimate spaces for those needing refuge and quiet while still being outdoors.
A community garden and rooftop terrace serve as the building’s social heart, while its scale, density, and passive construction contribute to a lower-emission future through regenerative materials and solar power.
